Seth Rogen… RIP 😔 (kind of)
So yeah… Seth Rogen “died” in The Boys Season 5, Episode 5. Naturally, I thought it’d be hilarious to make a dramatic “in memoriam” post about it. Turns out… not everyone got the joke.
Jokes aside, this episode was actually one of the strongest of the season so far. Instead of sticking to the usual structure, it leans into a chaotic, almost anthology-style format, jumping between different characters across one day.
And somehow… it works.
Why the anthology format worked
It’s wild, it’s messy, and it moves fast, but in a good way.
Up until now, the season felt like it was building slowly. This episode changes that. You can feel everything starting to come together heading into the final stretch.
We even get a perspective from Terror, which honestly felt like a deep cut for longtime fans. It’s these kinds of details that make the show stand out even five seasons in.
Is now the time to binge?
If you haven’t started The Boys yet, now’s actually a great time. You’ve got five seasons to binge, plus Gen V, with more spin-offs on the way.
New episodes drop Tuesday night at midnight Pacific Time (technically early Wednesday) on Amazon Prime Video.
